  1. bid用作名詞的基本意思是“企圖,努力”,引申可作“喊價,出價,投標”解,常與介詞for連用。有時可接動詞不定式作定語。
v. (動詞)
  1. bid作“出價,投標”解時,既可用作及物動詞,也可用作不及物動詞,其后常接介詞for,其過去式和過去分詞均同于原形bid; 作“命令; 吩咐”“說問候話”解時,是及物動詞,其過去式可以是bade或bid,過去分詞則為bidden或bid, bidden過去經常使用,現在則主要用在故事里。
