pron. (代詞)
- whom是who的賓格,在正式文體中常作賓語,用作疑問代詞或連接代詞時非正式文體往往用主格代替,若緊跟在介詞之后則只能用whom。若在從句中用作表語則只能用who,不能用whom。
- whom用作關系代詞引出定語從句修飾指人的先行詞時意思是“他,她,他們”,在定語從句中作賓語,通常被省略或用who, that代替。
- whom用于非限制性定語從句中作動詞或介詞的賓語時不能省略。
- whom后接由動詞to be〔to- v〕 構成的復合賓語時,不能用who來代替,且不能省略。
